Minty & Company is fortunate to draw on the talents of the rising fashion designer, Poppy Voon. The lovely natural linen bags that house our luxury scented candle are from her eponymous label.
Poppy’s unpretentious yet striking design sensibility aligns with the subtlety of the candle’s scent and aesthetic. Her commitment to using sustainable textiles and materials is also in keeping with the candle’s own natural and sustainable ingredients. Poppy uses Global Organic Textile Standard-certified organic cotton, with GOTS being the internationally recognised processing standard for textiles
Sustainability is not simply a convenient byword for Poppy Voon designs. It is central to the label’s professional values and core practice, which Minty & Company finds worthy of praise.
Our connection with Poppy dates back to 2020, when she worked for Charlotte Minty Interior Design Ltd - Minty & Company’s affiliated company.
Around this time, Poppy started to build her own business - designing and sewing her own clothes. Orders from friends and fashion followers quickly ensued, and soon her pastime grew into a full-time career.
Poppy has successfully used pop-up stores to shop her New Zealand-designed and made womenswear collection, and has a growing online customer base across the country.
